The curriculum focuses on building a strong foundation of Indigenous and scientific knowledge about the causes and effects of and adaptation strategies for climate change from global to local perspectives. The training is designed in two phases with the first laying the foundation of climate change adaptation and community-based research and the second focusing on building leadership, advocacy and communication skills. It is targeted to front-line health workers and encourages experiencing, reflecting, thinking, and doing as an educational process. This manual is the collection of many diabetes prevention activities ready to be used in Yukon communities.
