I was born in Whitehorse and raised between Pelly Crossing and Whitehorse until I left the Yukon in 1981 to explore the outside World.

I am Northern Tutchone from Selkirk First Nation in Pelly Crossing, Yukon. I belong to the Crow Clan like all the women before me.

I received most distinguished graduate with a Double High Honours Degree in Native Studies and Anthropology/Archeology (University of Saskatchewan). I later received a Master of Arts in Native Studies in 2008 (U of S). I returned home to the Yukon in 2012.
