Suzanne de la Barre



Suzanne de la Barre joined the board in 2017. She teaches in the Department of Recreation and Tourism Management and the Master of Arts in Sustainable Leisure Management Program at Vancouver Island University (BC), and the University of the Arctic’s Masters in Northern Tourism. Her research focuses on the circumpolar world, its economic diversification through the creative, cultural and tourism-supported economy, and place-based and community development approaches. A long time Yukoner, she lives in Whitehorse and Nanaimo.
