Building off of the success of the Healthy Living Inventory, we have recently developed two new inventory tools which showcase climate change and food systems initiatives in Yukon and across the North. The Northern Food Systems and Climate Change Initiatives Inventory Maps will help to mobilize information, connect communities and organizations to research, policy and community-based work going on and strengthen potential partnerships for climate change action and food security promotion.
These maps are connected to two main knowledge mobilization projects: Linking a Changing Climate with a Changing Traditional Diet: Mobilizing Knowledge for Adaptation (2017-2021) and the YIC4 - Yukon Indigenous Community Climate Change Champions Project (2017-2019).
The inventory maps will be shared through community workshops and the development of tangible and online knowledge products geared at inspiring community action; they will also be shared with policy makers and partners across the North to help inform future policy, funding areas and program planning for climate change adaptation and food systems development in the North.
These maps are currently being updated. Links will be active again soon…
