Attention All Community Gardeners: AICBR Hosts 4th Annual Community Gardener Gathering, March 14-15th, 2017

The Arctic Institute of Community-Based Research is pleased to invite community gardeners to our fourth Community Gardener Gathering – Working Together to Grow More 4: Growing a Food Secure Yukon, March 14th & 15th, 2017.

We have welcomed members from all Yukon communities in past years and hope to have a community garden grower from each community at this event.  Please share this information with other members of your community who run Yukon community gardens, or who are interested in becoming more involved in the development of community gardens. Participants decide the focus of the gatherings and we are currently working on an agenda based on evaluations from last year and conversations we are having with growers.  Important notes regarding registration:   

  • Registration is now closed.

  • Location: Basement, Seniors Residence, Yukon College (same location as 2016)

  • Travel & Accommodation funding is very limited (please apply) 

This gathering aims to connect community gardeners throughout the Yukon to facilitate the sharing of both successes and challenges with the goal of strengthening the community garden movement in the Yukon.
